Mr. Syed Yawar Ali

Syed Yawar Ali is a prominent Pakistani industrialist and business leader serving as Director at the Institute of Peace and Connectivity. Educated at Aitchison College Lahore, he holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s in Management Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 1992. He joined Packages Limited in 1972 before becoming Managing Director of Milkpak Limited, which entered a highly successful joint venture with Nestlé in 1988.

He currently chairs Nestlé Pakistan Limited, Wazir Ali Industries Limited, and the Pakistan Dairy Association. He has served on the boards of the State Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan International Airlines, as Chairman of LESCO and the Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan, and as Co-Chair of the Pakistan-India Joint Business Forum, a committee notified by the Ministry of Commerce to promote bilateral trade.
